Forest School

As another term draws to a close, we have  been keeping busy in Forest School. This term the children have been using saws and fire steels appropriately to better understand and appreciate fire and tool safety. They have also been making some delightful pictures, patterns and objects using natural resources. Please see the attached photographs. As the winter sets in, please can you ensure that your child brings warm clothing to wear to their forest school session. Gloves, hats and scarves as well as a warm coat. We have been lucky enough to receive several pairs of wellington boots from some parents to keep for forest school use – a big thank you to all who donated them! If anyone has adult  size 5,6,7 and 8 boots spare then we would be very grateful for them for our older children.

Forest school sessions are as follows: Years R, 1 and 4 Mr Seale on Thursdays, Years 2, 5 and 3 Ms Deadman on Mondays, Years 3 Ms Thompson and 4 Ms Leybourne on Tuesdays, Year 6 on Wednesdays.

Thank you for your continued support and a very happy, peaceful and safe Christmas to you all.
