The children have been learning about ‘Lent’, we have learnt that Lent leads up to Easter and this is a time when we remember Jesus’ death and resurrection. We read the parable ‘Jesus goes into the wilderness’. The children took time to reflect upon Jesus’ sacrifice of not receiving food for the 4o days and how difficult this would have been, we also reflected upon how Jesus worshipped and served God.
The children reflected on how Lent lasts for 40 days and made their own Lenten promises, they created their own prayers to ask Jesus and God for their support during their sacrifices for the duration of Lent.
