29.01.20 Year 4 Collective Worship: Jesus chooses the first disiciples
Today in Collective Worship Year 4 have been exploring the story of Jesus choosing the first disciples, we have explored this event in detail attempting to empathize with the disciples and how they would have been feeling during this important occasion. We had several different opinions on this some thinking they ‘would have been excited to have been given this big opportunity’ while others felt ‘they might be sad leaving their families behind’.
We have then been considering how we can also be friends with Jesus and reflecting on the way we can act in our lives, by showing kindness and forgiveness to others as well as teaching others about the word of God. We discussed the importance of regular communication with Jesus through prayer.
