What is a Busy Book?

This is a book that you should collect for your child every Friday from their tray. In the Busy Book will be a mosaic of activity that will be a collection of photos demonstrating how we’ve been playing that week.

What should I do?

We ask that parents look at the Busy Book every week with their child. It will give you the opportunity to discuss with your child what they have been doing that week in Nursery. Ask them questions and get them to recall the activities they see.

Each week the Busy Book will give a suggestion for a home learning opportunity. It is important to remember that learning happens at home as well as at Nursery.

Can I add to the book?

YES! We welcome parents to add things to the book. You may wish to tell us about something significant your child has achieved at home. Or perhaps a special visit they have had or trip they have been on. You are welcome to add photos, draw pictures, stick in tickets, write a story in it! Whatever you wish…it is your child’s busy book after all!
