14th December 2018 Newsletter
The national school performance tables for primary schools were published yesterday. I am pleased to announce that St Michael’s is the highest ranked school for overall performance of all the Primary Schools in Medway. This is when our attainment, (results) and progress (how well children do from their starting points), is taken into account.
This is amazing!! I am so proud of all the school community here. This result is testament to the hard work that we all do. St Michael’s is a GREAT school, Well done the staff, the children and of course to you the parents and carers for all of your support. I am very honoured to be part of this wonderful community. We have had our Christmas events continuing this week– the Reception and nursery nativity which was absolutely delightful, our trip to see the pantomime at the Central Theatre yesterday and taking part in Christmas jumper day for Save the Children today as well as having our Christmas dinner. Next Tuesday will be the last day of term ending with our junior carol service which will be in St Michael’s Church at 2pm All are welcome– it is always good to just remind ourselves of the true meaning of Christmas—the birth of Our Lord in Bethlehem.
This will be the last newsletter before we break up for Christmas and the last one of 2018 so all it remains for me to say is Happy Christmas and a peaceful and healthy new year to all in the St Michael’s School community.
See you all on 3rd January 2019.
