St Matthias Class Assembly - Book Week! 05.05.20
Today in St Matthias’ class assembly we have celebrated and the power that reading can give to all of us. We have paid a special focus to the messages we can interpret and learn from reading the Bible. Studying the scripture of Matthew the children have explore the story of Jesus being tempted in the desert.
This knowledge is extremely valuable at this time of Lent as it teaches us the lesson of patience and resisting temptation as we give up something we enjoy for 40 days. The children chose to sing the song ‘Amani Uptupe Na Ustawi’ which means grant us peace give us courage. They thought this incorporated the theme of our assembly well as we are in the time of Lent.

It was excellent to see so many Parents and Carers attending to celebrate the children’s amazing work thank you so much for coming!
